I've had a few encounters with Raven. Usually he follows me around on my hikes and laughs at me and teases me. The last time I was hiking, Raven landed in a tree and started his socializing with me. I'd talk with him and he'd laugh and move on to the next tree in front of me. We kept up the bantering until I reached an area where there were no trees close. Raven however flew high above and kept a watchful eye over me.
Last week I woke and was prompted to look out my window. There were about 30 Ravens gathered in the yard of the house across from me. I watched them intently for about an hour. Their behavior told me that something was not right. At one point, I viewed 5 Ravens positioned at the side yard and walking in formation towards the house. It was then I knew that death was imminent. My neighbor called me after about an hour and asked me to look out at all of the birds across the street and asked me what I thought. I shared that I did not think it was a good sign and left it at that.
Today, the M. E's office appeared at the house and unfortunately left with more than what they came with. My heart and prayers go out to the family.
Paying attention to the behaviors of the plants and animals has taught me a great deal about symbols and signs. And of course, the interpretations are all personal; meaning that what I see and feel may differ from what you read and feel. The point is that we need to be open to everything the universe is sharing with us. If we remain open minded, we will learn to communicate and listen more effectively in all areas of our life.
May your mind's eye be open to all that life is offering you!
Namaste,
